Melanie approached her, both were scared as hell.
The girl told her to stay away because the poor litte child doesn't want to hurt Melanie.
Melanie didn't listened to her and brought her home, that's when the poor Serena told Melanie she was inhuman, that her mother was a fairy and her dad the king of hell, the biggest fear around the world, the most powerful demoniac creature.
Serena didn't want to go back home, she was afraid of her own father...
Melanie was 21 so she adopted her, well, not legally but killing for blood wasn't either...
