A fat rat scurried across my path, damn thing scared the sh*t out of me. My heart pounding I looked down watching for the rat as I left the alley and not paying attention to my surroundings. I walked straight into someone. Mumbling my apologies while I step to the left of him. He stepped with me. Excusing myself I tried to move to the right of him, he followed me again. As I looked up I realized he wasn't alone. There were three more guys in a small circle surrounding me. What the hell just kids, ages 14 to 18.Complete

They came from the gods. They were gifts, offspring, and accidents, but one thing was certain. Shifters, Vampires, and Witches were among those that had evolved past the limitations of humanity, those that developed abilities that no human could match, but even for those that had the ability to do anything, some things were still forbidden. Jessica Ryland knew all too well about the chaos that followed this taboo. It had cost her the lives of her family at a very young age and even in giving that taboo just what it needed, she knew that it wouldn't stop chasing her until she joined them. But when she decides to take refuge in a city that had already been claimed by a Shifter pack, she finds that she is in for more that she bargained for. With a mate that refuses to turn her away, she will find that she is stronger than she ever thought she could be. Copyright 2014, Acacia Estep, All Rights ReservedComplete
