"We're not sure, but it healed her." Nat replied.
"No it wasn't. The venom was a rare blood that only the five of you have. If your strong venom was ever mixed with a human blood, it can kill them instantly. Your blood was not meant for healing." He explained while we looked at him confused.
"We have a rare blood?" Nat asked.
"Yes you do. Which one of you bit her?" He questioned looking at each and one of us.
"We didn't bite her." I said confused.
"Yeah, Darren did why?" Nat joined in.
"Darren.. I forgot about him. Why did he bite her?"
With that question we all looked at each other. Not knowing what to say, we shrugged and looked at the girl then back to our Uncle Zack.
"We didn't know the reason why, but he was just having fun with her. Then all of a sudden all of that happened." Kyle explained.
Uncle Zack thought and thought. He looked at the girl. It's been awhile since all of us were silent.
"Xander. You use to know Darren, why do think he would do this?" Tyler asked.
I looked at the girl and at everyone else, "is it possible to have a human as a mate.?" I questioned.

"We have to jump!" i screamed at everyone at the top of my lungs, i looked around to find at least 75% of our group either eaten or eating some one else. i knew i was being too slow in making my decisions, but all i could concentrate on was the sound of my heart beating in my chest. i pulled nicol to the floor and away from the zombie that nearly chewed off her head and watched her send a knife into its head with what seemed no effort at all. Then i turned and moved quicker than i have before to stop the zombie that i saw coming for me from the corner of my eye, i stopped dead in my tracks as my heart sank into the bloody stream of my circulation of life. "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive.
