A detective("Mark") in the year 2112 gains cybernetics along the right side of his face after he is shot by a radical who was aiming for the police chief. This story follows Detective Mark as he travels back in time to solve crimes before they happen.
(This novel is based on a video game of the same name still in early production. I am writing this to help me better develop the story, characters, and world.)
This will only be a preview for the whole novel which I plan to sell on blurb. The preview will include chapters 0 and 1.

A simple job
It was meant to be a simple job. All he had to do was search some ruins and kill any cultists he found there. Sum figured that by the time him and his boss reached the ruins, the cultists would be long gone and he could get paid for doing basically nothing. Of course things are never that easy, especially when his insane boss is involved. He really needs to stop working for that slaving bastard before he gets him killed. "Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard. I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us. "Who I am is none of your business," he said in a cold, husky voice that somehow caused me to shiver. A frown made it's way onto my face as I looked at the mysterious man who refused to tell me who he is. He stood tall in front of me as we fell into silence again but only for a few seconds before he began to slowly move towards me. His face slowly being exposed to the light, giving me a glimpse of his icy grey eyes. "let's go" he spoke again before turning around. I hesitated a bit before turning around and for some reason followed behind him. ─── ･ ｡ﾟ☆: *.☽ .* :☆ﾟ. ─── Ariana is a 26-year-old young lady, employed at a famous bar in New York City. She loves her job to her heart and counts it as a blessing since it helps in paying her bills. So everything was going quite well in her life, except for the fact that her boss hated her, but apart from that she was okay and everything was going well...but all of that came to an end on one specific night when she found herself in the arms of danger after encountering a mysterious yet dangerous man, who had also happen to have a lot of enemies. And since she had encountered him, she had been targeted as a worker for him and so she was promised that her life will be protected by the mysterious man as a returned favor for her saving his life. She has now entered a world where chaos, lies, hurt, death and truth reside and will find herself in a place where though decisions are thrown at her. So, What will she do when she's being chased down by enemies that seek to take her innocent life? Can she trust a man, she never knew, to protect her? Can she....survive? A man who commits crimes for the sake of committing crimes and enjoys it, one day loses his life at the hands of a policeman obsessed with him. And when he opens his eyes again, he finds himself in the body of an 18-year-old boy. After adjusting to the situation for a while, he realizes that everyone who turns 18 in this world is awakened and a mark appears on their right hand. People in this world never grow old. Everyone has a lifespan, and to extend that lifespan, they can use the mark on their right hand to enter a place called the game world. If they win in the games they participate in here using their own lifespan, their lifespan is extended. ---------- After talking to his parents, who seem to be the same age as him, Zane decides to play his first survival game in this fun world. And Zane is hiding a secret: he has awakened an SSS level ability. -------- The main character is a villain, but in his perspective crime is an art and not every bad thing is a crime, it's just pathetic. Completed!! -- I could hear him running behind me. "HELP!" I started to scream the words repeatedly. I felt like I was the stupid, helpless girl in a horror film. I ran right into a fence and fell down. I got back up and turned around. Blake was right there. He pinned me up against the wood. "You are so stupid!" He chuckled. He grabbed a bottle of some sort and smiled. "Nighty night." He whispered. He sprayed the substance all over me until I blacked out. -- 16 year old Cathy moves from a small Rhode Island town to the big Austin, Texas. When she starts her new school, Cliffside High, everyone despises her. They don't like the same music she does and they don't dress like her. She's an outcast in their book. But when she gets home, she goes to her favorite website and chats with people who love her. Who don't despise her. But, everything changes when a stranger starts to chat with her. He compliments her, makes her feel bubbly. She feels like he loves her, and she loves him. Then things get a little weird when he asks her personal questions. Not thinking twice, she answers all of them. Cathy feels guilty afterward, and never wants to talk to him again. But he wants to meet her. What happened to the rest of the couch? Did it magically shrink? "Ryan?" I asked getting a little nervous "Yeah," he mumble. "What are you doing?" I asked, are noses were almost touching. "I'm trying to kiss you, so hush," he respond like it was the most natural thing to do. He started to lean in are lips were almost touching when a hard knock came from the front door. But that didn't seem to stop Ryan, it was like he didn't hear anything until they knock again. "Um, the door knock, " I said stupidly "I mean someone is at the door." I stood up. Ryan just seemed irritated. "I'll go get it." I said and headed to the door. What I saw when I opened the door made me want to run and hide. Ryan's dad was standing there with a gun in his hand. Well I've live long enough Emily is just a normal girl that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Annoyed by her best guy friend she accepted going to a party with him which leads her into a messy scene that almost causes her life. But what happens when a boy saves her?
