Happiness is something that isn't incorporated in Victoria’s messy life. The fire that killed her entire family when she was just a child is an irremovable scar that stays with her. After adoption by the Rogers, happiness no longer felt distant. But the unexpected suicide of her best friend Ellie triggered a chain reaction. Then started the guilt of the hand she and Ellie's ex dealt in her death, the attraction to a strange guy & his brother, and the multiple trials done by others to end Vicky's life. Who the hell would wanna kill a senior with a dead best friend and boy problems? Could the death of her friend, the sudden show of two gorgeous but mysterious brothers & the attempts of her own death as well, be connected? Just remember not everyone is who they say they are in the town of Laurence, Kansas.
