Earth has a lot to figure out. Dinas Emrys doesn't. It's advanced in knowledge of all kinds. It's discovered the other dimensions and is learning new things about them everyday. It's completely peaceful compared to Earth, its wars fought long before.
Yet the most remarkable feature of the world is its ruling system. Four Accix for every society. Jokkier and others help them rule, but Accix are the true power everyone looks up to. They are the shaping force of society.
So when the turn comes and only three Accix are accounted for, the people are worried. However, when a new Acce arrives from Earth, the people aren't assured, they're scared.

Interdimensional gates don't close on their own and if left open, creatures that dwell in the darkness between the worlds will find their way through. Without warning, one of the dimensions disappeared without a trace. The remaining 6 in panic did all they could to find the reason why.
