Shadow is a young girl who's about to graduate from junior high. She seems like a ordinary shy girl but she has a secret... she's training to be a ninja but the reason its a big secret that only three people know it, is because there has never been a girl ninja. It isn't forbidden just unheard of. Women especially girls are looked upon society as being weaklings. But Shadow must carry on the legacy of the family. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father refused to get remarried. So she is the only child in the a family of great ninjas that have gone down in history since man was put upon this earth. Even her father used to be a Great Ninja.
