In Modern Day London , Alys King is enthralled with the stories of her ancestor Alice Kingsleigh's journeys on the ocean in particular to the curious world of Wonderland. However, her carefree imagination is turned into a nightmare when she discovers she is to be a pawn in a bid to change Wonderland (a real place!) into a theme park.
The next thing she knows, Abselom, Alice's oldest and wisest friend, abducts her, and takes her to Underland (the real name!), to keep his world and hers from truly colliding! There she finds herself the sole person who can stop the invasion by sealing off entrances!
