Her brother disappeared. She was almost kidnapped a few years later. And that was that. Nothing abnormal ever disturbed the life of Paris McLaughlin again. Until that night. Paris was greeted by a second shadow that was not her own. 
    Along the next few days, the shadow looms over her, and she falls into a pit of fear. She feels like she's living a recurring nightmare. Then, she's kidnapped. By a miracle she escapes and arrives in California, where she learns shocking secrets about her brother. 
    But she hasn't seen the last of her kidnappers. They are after her because they know she's seen the mysterious shadow. They want to use the energy of the shadow to take over the world. Paris has to stop them from hurting her and her loved ones and taking power of the planet. She is forced into protecting the shadow that haunts her. 
    Can she find it in herself to protect the one thing she fears the most?
