Joseph Micheal Graceffa has always been one of the shy and nerdy kids, and that usually isn't good when transferring schools. The kid assigned to show Joey around was Daniel Christopher Preda, a "jock". Daniel never really enjoyed being mean to other kids and had been hiding himself. Daniel knew that he was gay but he also knew it would ruin his reputation. Daniel also did better in school than all of his "friends" and enjoyed writing in his journal. The reason Daniel wasn't out is because his family and friends would judge him. Joey, however, was safe to come out, but he didn't know he was gay. This is just their 9th grade year and they are both 14, Daniel about to turn 15.
