"But in a twisted turn of events, and as fate would have it, I didn't die. Nope. In fact, what happened was much worse than dying or falling on the floor and being embarrassed by Danika. What happened next undoubtedly ruined the wallflower image, I had worked so hard to keep during my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I fell into Derek Winter's lap. So much for 'maybe today won't be so bad after all.'" *** Morgan's sister Jessa loves Ariel. So, for Jessa's 6th birthday, their mother decides for Morgan to surprise her as Ariel. Through a series of unfortunate events and already running late, she is forced to attend school in the costume effectively gracing her with popularity and ruining her wallflower image, much to her dismay.

Beth's life was simple: go through school to get out, meaning she does have to be a bit of a good-girl. Once she finds out that the high school crush of every pubescent girl is the son of her father's friend, she's suddenly treated like the Queen of England. Her routines change as she is no longer able to go through her senior year peacefully. Will everything go wrong? Will her life be changed by one of the hottest guys in school? Disclaimer: this story depicts bullying and abuse that I (a then 13 year old) was unbeknownst to exaggerated and socialized ignorance. I very much don't agree with some decisions to move the plot forward though the story isn't all that. For young women reading, the treatment and abuse of some of these characters is absolutely unacceptable and be aware of that. This is just a trigger warning.
