Is the person that you show the world the person that you really are?

Sixteen-year-old Layla Young is the perfect teenager every parent wishes that they had. She does well in school, is hardly ever spotted outside of a classroom, and would never be caught dead at a party. With her goody-two-shoes personality, everyone thinks that they've gotten her all figured out. She plans to keep it that way.

Layla keeps the world at a distance so that no one can learn the truth, that she's wearing a mask.

That is until one day Layla slips up and lets the mysterious Daniel Walsh catch a glimpse of the real her in one rooftop meeting. Now suddenly Daniel is determined to find out what exactly is underneath that mask of hers and secrets that Layla promised to herself that she would never share with anyone are now at risk of coming to the surface.

Will she let him in enough to figure them out? With one unexpected bet, Layla's mask might just be starting to crack.

How to make your teacher fall in love with you, écrit par mrsduncanjames

In an instant his lips were on mine, and without even knowing how, I felt myself succumbing to him. I pulled away quickly, but both of his hands went around me as he caressed my cheek, and then his lips crushed against mine again, this time with much more urgency. I wanted to stop him, but I found that I couldn't. I let myself kiss him and give up what I believed in, after all, it was this that I needed to do if I wanted to succeed in the dare. And to be fair, I didn't really mind, Mr James was more than attractive. Ella is a typical seventeen year old girl who, on the first day of school, becomes friends with the wrong group of people, who threaten her to flirt with her teacher and make him fall for her. Ella is left with no choice but to do this, and day by day, she tries to get as close to her very attractive art teacher as she possibly could. However, in the midst of this, she starts realising that she actually does like Mr Edward James more than she thinks she ever would. On the other hand, her teacher struggles to stay away from the student whom he finds himself falling for. And at the same time, he has another struggle: he is being blackmailed by someone who knows all about his dark past, and his present: the interest that he has in a certain student. "You're mine, Layla." "What-t?" she whispered, still trying to catch up to the whirlwind of emotions crashing through her. "Mine," he repeated, his voice firm and fierce. "Not Liam's. Not anyone else's. Mine. Only mine." ~~ Crestwood High Trilogy #1 ● LAYLA HARPER I'm all about good vibes, great art, and even better company. I'm always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences to fuel my art. But then I saw him - the mysterious guy in school who seems to exist in a world of his own. He's silent, cold, and distant, like a ghost haunting the halls. What secrets is he hiding behind those piercing eyes? I'm drawn to the mystery of him, and I find myself wondering what it would take to crack the code of his icy exterior. ● DANIEL GARCIA I'm a ghost in the halls, a shadow in the crowd. People see me, but they don't really look. I'm a master of hiding in plain sight, of being invisible despite being right in front of them. My walls are up, my guard is down... or is it the other way around? Either way, I'm not letting anyone in. Not after what happened. But then she showed up, Layla Harper is like a ray of light in a world that's gone dark. And I'm not sure if I'm drawn to her or repelled by her. Either way, I'm stuck on her, like a puzzle piece that won't fit. ~ What happens when sparks fly between sunshine & darkness? ~
