Charlotte "Charlie" DePaul was always a tomboy. She grew up with a father that was always away on military business, Cooper, a brother who was sent off to boarding school, and a care taker named Max. When Christmas time comes around, she finally gets to have both her brother and father home at the same time. It's when her father doesn't show up and Max gets a certain phone call that Cooper and Charlie begin to worry. That's when they're thrown into The Game. They're forced to train with Max to be sent off on a hunt around the world to save their own father from being killed. Here's the catch: there are other teams of sibling pairs fighting for their families as well. Plus, The Game Master has his Hunters.. hunting them. What happens when a few of The Pairs team up? When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
