Forever And Always

It was a Sunday afternoon, and Phil was home alone. It wasn't like Phil to be sad but he hasn't seen dan in a week. Dan had went out of the county to travel and didn't invite Phil for reasons Dan didn't list. Phil tried to take his mind off Dan but couldn't. He decided to call Phil hoping hes not bothering his friend. Dan picked up. "Dan I'm sorry if I'm bothering you I just miss you." Phil said in a worried tone. "Phil its okay, I'll be home by next week I just needed to sort a few things out." This didn't help matters.

Dan had just got home, but he's been more distant than usual. Phil noticed but didn't want to say anything. A week has passed. Phil can't take the emotional pain anymore, he feels like he should ask Dan why he's been so distant.
"Dan can we talk?" Phil asked afraid he would be turned down. "Of course, what's up?"
"Dan I feel like you been pushing yourself away from me."
"Why would I do that Phil, you're my best friend"
Best friend. Phil hated Those two words.
