Persephia Clermont is a very special lady. Not just because she has a hot boyfriend, and more-awesome-than-words bestfriend. But because she has this unique blood type that has made her immune to catching viruses. And when once in her life she finally becomes sick with a life-threatening disease, the only other person in the world who can help her is an old man who lives in a prestigious chateau at France. He is the only other person in this world who has the same blood type as her and she needs his blood. So, if you were in her place, what would you do if you were about to die? Well, by all means, you'd do whatever it takes to get to that man and have some of his blood, right?
Well, for Persephia Clermont, her plan is this: act like James Bond and sneak into the hotel during a party dressed like one of the guests. Then what? Drug your donor, take the blood you need then get the hell out of there? Well, that was her little plan. She was, after all, crazy. Crazy enough that she just might get herself in prison for the rest of her life. It was either that, or die. She had no other choice. But instead of her plan going the way it was suppose to, she's now romantically entangled between the two sons of her wealthy donor. But what will happen to the love she has left at America? And what do you suppose would happen if her blood was actually the cure of cancer?

After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows.
