In this world of magic, The realms are split into 3. The human side (northmanni), the magic side (magicumes)  and the middle side (northmagin)  which contains of both humans and magic. King Alfred of Northmanni has been told by the oracles that he has a soulmate, perhaps an Angel or maybe a devil. Unfortunately for Alfred he is already dating Princess Natalya of the Northmagin. Alfred sends for Arthur to be caught from Magicumes. Only to realize his little soulmate...is a man. 

Can the kingdoms ever find the Angel and The Devil that the prophecy talks about, or will Arthur be condemned to a life of misery because his King doesn't want him?

After the second American Civil War, the world changes drastically. A new nation stood where the United States once was, the Last Empire having fallen to its own people. Addicted to more chemicals than a lab rat, Alfred has a hard time keeping his head up- quite literally. It's not that he doesn't want to quit- believe me, he does!- it's just that the withdrawal is destroying him from the inside out. What makes it worse, is when he's placed into an arranged marriage as a landgrab, and then told about it just before it happened. Now he is wrestling with both his addiction, and someone he was supposed to marry in 1860! Ivan was an addict, once. He understood the pain of withdrawal. He wants to help, since there was nobody around to help him. The idea of joining the Union was one he hadn't even thought of before his boss had arranged the marriage with the dictatrix. Now, he was thrown into a world he didn't know, forced to interact with people he had never met, and be one of the first nations, the third most powerful, to join a mega-nation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Extra: Alfred is headcannoned as brown get over it. He was killed by protecting his younger brother, and he was only nineteen. An arch angel was sent to retrieve his soul, one of the purest souls to be seen in years. That had meant that whichever way he was taken, Alfred would be powerful. The angel lost to several demons who sought after Alfred's soul, and Alfred was taken to hell, where he became the Demon King, or King of Hell. Many decades later, Arthur, an angel, is captured and dragged down to hell. The King of Hell takes a great liking to said Angel, who strives to return home to heaven.
