Let me tell you reader of a certain group of people who are different: people who's lives are drastically altered by who- or should I say What- they are. They are known as the Altered. They are not like us. They posses strange and amazing powers: each different and individual in incredible ways.
Now it must be told that just like everyone who ever walked this earth, they too have a choice between good and evil... not all of them will choose to do what's right.
This is one tale of a certain few Altered who are faced with similar circumstances as we face everyday; some will do the right things, others will do the wrong things, and still others will just 'stand on the bridge', and figure out which side they will choose before the end.

Will the leader have to take control again, or can the heroes handle the job? In a world of masks and capes, who can you trust? Who's really the hero? My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.
