When this world crumbles we don't know what will happen, but in this book... 
The world has already crumbled and it's usually fight to the death for anything. But this isn't just any story, it is much more. A young girl named Lauren meets a jerk named Alex and finds that she is stuck with him trying to survive. They meet three other people in this world who isn't literally insane and get "infected" somehow, with that, they all have powers now, more so gifts if you will. (Not really powers I guess) Life continues to get harder and harder, and Lauren thinks she might be falling for Alex.
