"Don't say it like that!" she turns away from him, trying to make it to the door, hating the cramped room with a burning passion.

"Say it like what?" His hand catches her arm, ceasing her escape.

She turns toward him, her eyes blazing. A fire that glowed varying shades of amber & at the core the darkest hints of blues.

"Don't say it like you mean it!"

She's all but screaming now & he takes a step back as if he's been slapped. Gods above, he wished he'd been slapped over the way she was looking at him now, with such disgust, such disappointment.

"Because you don't." Her voice is so quiet now & that's scarier than when she was yelling & he knows he's losing her, it's the beginning of the end.

She steps out of his grasp.

"I'm done with you Shawn Mendes. I'm done with you, & your three empty words."
