This is a story of Effie Trinket and Haymitch Abernathy from the best-selling novel Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Effie and Haymitch always had chemistry, and in the Mockingjay movie we are left with a kiss the two share. This will be a story of the events that followed afterwards. It will be told in the point of view of Effie.

I stand there staring at him not knowing what to say. His long blonde hair blows in the wind and his soft pink lips are fixed in a smirk.
"Haymitch?" he rolls his eyes and his whispy voice fills the air. Oh how long I've died to hear that voice.
"Who'd you think it was?" he says smiling.
"Haymitch" I say again.
"Effie you look so different. Plainer." he says staring at me sadly.
"Everything changed after the games. Including us." I say looking back at him.
He touches my hand lightly and I take it in mine.
