Nathaniel Harris is a traitor, a thief but most importantly a Wendigo, a form of shape shifter. He is chased by the shadow wraiths until he is almost dead. But then he meets Rachelle, an ordinary looking, extraordinary witch, who he strikes a deal with. They are both running from the shadow wraiths but Rachelle knows of a way out, to go to a land the shadow wraiths can not go to, the human world. There they have been hiding for the past 357 years, blended into a modern, normal society. But a lot can change in 357 years... A/N: I know what a Wendigo is but there is such thing as poetic license. I have put this as mature but that will only be a few chapters and they'll have warnings at the beginning. If you don't like graphic moments, don't read those chapters.

Book Seven of the Forgotten ~ Differences can tear you apart ~ Menza Aristotle knew that feeling. She's a rarity wrapped in an improbablity. A shifter and a mundane in one, of both worlds but didn't belong to either Taken from her mother to live with her father, she grew up in the cold Old Ways. She was unwanted proof that a bond does not keep one faithful and that the consequences of such an act can follow you long after you left it behind ~ Mene's rage burns bright ~ Brochan O'Neill had felt that rage right down his soul when the plague hit. His female had been terrified to lose their child and begged the goddess to spare her. Mene listened but she is fickle, so she spared the child and took her mother instead Spiraling with his grief and rage at what had been taken, he's unable to care for himself or his child too lost in the remains of his life. The Alpha acts because if he does not, both will be lost and with the little female as the only survivor to the carnage around her it cannot happen ~ A price must be paid ~ Menza's unseen until the Alpha turned his gaze onto her. She's a half-breed, she had no wolf, no ability to bond, to lose her was no loss. With her father, he takes her from her home and drops her onto the doorstep of his Master-at-Arms, an exchange of ownership without a fight. The grief stricken male now owns her Brochan knew her orders were simple. Take care of his child and to make sure he didn't kill her or himself in his grief. He felt for her, tossed into the den of a grieving wolf without warning but she was his to do with as he wished. What happened to her was of no consequence to the Alpha or her father ~ Love can be found in destruction ~ Menza must find her way home and Brochan must settle fight against the very systems he held in place for so long before Mene turns her unforgiving gaze on the Old Ways once again.
