Darlene and Michael Carraway have been trying to have a baby for about a year, and then after a freak accident, it leaves the couple with special little four-year-old Samuel (Sammy) King who has down syndrome. This little boy is extraordinary, Darlene's motherly instincts immediately take over but Michael is another story. Sammy will test their limits as new parents and their faith in God. But when a bruise mysteriously appears on Sammy, will Darlene find out that Michael isn't who he's always claimed to be? Or will she have to find Sammy a new family to save him?
