After seven years, Emma Helmsley is returning home.

The small town of Oak Grove is largely the same as she left it--the Methodist Church still dominates town life, the people are still nosy and judgmental. Emma still feels trapped by the town lines.

There are, however, a few differences. Noah, Emma's former best friend, has taken over his father's role as minister, and is now married with two kids...three kids, if you include Emma's daughter, Claire, whose true parentage Emma is trying so hard to keep a secret.

The more time Emma spends in Oak Grove, the more she is reminded of why she left it in the first place. Will she ever be able to call the town home again, or will too many complications get in the way?
