Reed Canaway is your average school thuggy and stoner kid. Yet no one does it he's doing it for the money, taking care of neighbor's twins for a single mother with no pay and a dying grandmother. Only Mason, his gang leader knows about his living conditions. Then there's Parker Gray, the guy everyone stereotypes emo. He's rich and lonely, since he's adopted by the richest and busiest people in Rhode Island. He always assumes he was adopted by pity, but now his parents being homophobic, he doesn't know what would happen if he "came out of the closet." On the night of his parent's monthly business trips, he decides to end his life. But the gang Reed is in, thought it'd be the same night to break into Parker's house. But the richest people of Rhode Island are also the most powerful and can get you kicked out of Rhode Island, so the gang said the person who goes in gets half of what's stolen. Reed knew this would help his "family." When Reed steps into the only unlocked window, he finds Parker's lifeless body in front of the door, which is the only way he can get out and find the money and prized possessions. What was he supposed to do? Tell Mason there was a dead body in the house! After Reed ends up making the decision to save Parker, Parker doesn't know whether to be thankful or to hate Reed for his failed attempt of suicide. [WARNING!
