Adrian Drysdale thought he hit rock bottom before the incident, only when he found himself in a wheelchair did he really know what real misery was. With everything he used to enjoy in life now hopelessly out of reach due to paralysis, Adrian and his best friend Jinx band to make his life worth living again. His cynical and sarcastic attitude does not exactly help him find the silver lining in his depressing condition, but whether he likes it or not Adrian has to adapt back to reality. It is not until Jinx introduces him to Carter, that Adrian thinks that the world might be a livable place for him again. Only with figures from his past returning to torment him, his future might have to be put on hold.

That's why she doesn't know how to react when she gets a call from a man looking for a suicide hotline. Out of fear he'll actually commit suicide if he doesn't get help immediately, she lies and pretends to be a hotline worker. Parker Hollowell is on the edge.
