I peered out the window nervously as I could hear the hungry shrieks of more of the Depraved. Jack and Luke shuddered at the sound. Jack shot up to his feet without warning. He walked sturdily towards the cabins mini kitchen, shoveling any food we had into a backpack that was carelessly tossed on the floor. Now there was a hollow silence between me and Luke. I could see he was almost as startled as me by Jack's actions. " We need to get out of here," Jack said sternly. Luke now stood up too, gathering anything on the floor which looked helpful, not questioning. "Woah, woah,woah." I began to protest. "We can't just leave. It's safe here." Another wild bark sounded off, this time closer to us. Jack turned towards me firmly, I could see the blunt expression on his face. " Not anymore."

The rain gently tapped against the window, as I watched the trees grow rapidly in numbers. It was finally "Goodbye" Santa Fe, and "Hello" Oregon. I sighed, wondering if I'd ever see the sun again.
