***Warning - This story does have triggers including violence and murder. This story also includes strong language*** She was never one of the normal kids, and she never really fit in. She always thought that maybe if she just waited a little longer, she would find her group, her people. Her family (the Damious family) had just uprooted her again. They moved to California only a month and a half ago and she finally made some close friends but after a trip to the mall, she went missing..not that her parents really cared. They only wanted to keep the family name pure and untarnished, but after five months of her being missing, she showed up, stranded at a gas station. When she went to the hospital, they identified bruising all over (and in) her..she was a rape victim. Her parents were distraught. How could they fix this, why the fuck would their daughter have to ruin their family image?

Tragedy struck on a frigid December night in 2005, shattering the peace in our quiet, upscale neighborhood of Hannam-dong, Seoul. The victims were my parents: a British navy officer and his Filipino wife. The brutal home invasion left my twin sister and me orphaned and separated by fate. I was cruelly abducted by the robbers and sold into the sinister depths of a black market linked to an international orphanage. My sister, miraculously spared, was discovered by the police tucked safely under a bed, blissfully asleep and unaware of the horror that had unfolded. Eighteen years later, half a world away, I lived a life of privilege and comfort in the posh surroundings of New York City. Adopted by the billionaire Pages, James and Claire, I had everything a girl could wish for. Or so I thought. My world was rocked when I stumbled upon an online article with a photo of a girl who looked exactly like me-a girl who wasn't me. The article detailed the tragic story of a top student from a prestigious international school in Seoul, South Korea, who had been found beaten and left for dead. My heart raced as I showed the article to my parents. James and Claire, always loving and supportive, were visibly shaken by the uncanny resemblance. It was time to spill the secret they had guarded so closely-I was adopted. As I absorbed this earth-shattering news, I felt a deep, inexplicable connection to the girl in the article. Was it possible that this comatose girl was my long-lost twin sister? Determined to uncover the truth, I decided to travel to Seoul. My journey would take me into the heart of my past, into the whispers of my origins, and into the tangled fate of two sisters whose paths were meant to cross once again.
