This village was once a happy place, until someone destroyed it. The villagers were killed for fun. Eaten alive. They called it Vadead.
A group of random teenagers were dared, by mail, to visit the village for 7 days. Arair, Wyatt, Luke, Raven, Robyn, Levi, Dianna, and Zoie were told that there is $1 million in the tower. On the last day the doors on the castle would open and they would be able to get the money. So who knows what those random teenagers really are. They could be murderers or a thief.
Who will survive? Who will die? Who will get the money?

And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives.
