Why do we always hide from the unknown? We're humans - the top of the food chain, yet we're all scared of the unknown and each other. Curiosity is a scarce treasure, one that not many have. It can be a good and bad thing, leading one to phenomenon or his or her own demise. It can be a strange thing. So many don't like it though; they opt to conceal themselves in the shadows and don't like curious ones crawling into their business. They are the reason why curiosity is uncommon; they are the reason why curious people and even unknowing people tend to disappear. I guess that's why I'm here - to drag those hiding criminals by their legs into the light and make them burn. That is why I am here.

Luke Brant is a top detective, who has made a reputation of taking down top gangs and high guilty powers. He is a man determined to bring those who are criminals to get what they deserve. When he discovers that his mother's dying wish is connected a case, Brant steps up to the assignment. However, what he delves into, is a supernatural case which is impossible to dismantle.

"Breathe." He dipped his head down so that his lips were right at my ear, his strong arm wrapped securely around my waist, molding my body into his. "If you're going to fall apart,." He starts, teeth gritted. "Now's the time. I'll be here to put you back together when it's over." I squeezed my eyes shut again, and I did just that. I fell apart. ******* Secrets. Lies. Deception. Murder. I'd seen and done it all. And not willingly. So I left. I sacrificed my freedom to save myself, and the only way to ensure my own safety was to start over. Clean slate. New people. New me. But the last thing I expected when I arrived at Manonwell Prep Academy was to be bombarded by a boy-no, a man who held some unknown vendetta against me. Call it obsession, infatuation, hatred. To me it was all one in the same. He was everywhere I turned, like a shadow. Watching me. Taunting me. Haunting me. And it was all because of something I did to him a long time ago. It was something so bad that he couldn't stand me, that he wanted me dead, and the idea of making my life a living hell was something that he took pride in. But I didn't remember. I had no clue what I could've done to him in the past, but he was hellbent on pushing me until I did. My plans on starting over were shattered the minute I stepped inside that school. He was the type of person that demanded your attention without having to speak. He was untamed and wild and unhinged. But what he didn't know was that the Winter Travers that he knew in past, the one I didn't remember, was no longer alive. I was different. She was gone and I was here. And he was everything I should've been afraid of. Sinister, quiet, manipulative, but I knew it would be a cold day in hell before I let him win. Ronan was like gasoline waiting to be doused on the fire that inside me, and if he was ready to burn, then so was I.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! I have a stalker. I know everyone eventually has one and some are solved over time or through restraining orders. But let's take a moment and imagine this scenario; restraining orders, or anything in that nature, wouldn't solve the problem. There was nothing you can do to be free. This stalker can bounce up and over law boundaries, manipulates others, and the deceiving appearance makes others call you a liar. Even without those, this man is beyond what I now call normal. He's cruel and vindictive, and he puts criminals away for a living. He isn't the average stalker; he's smart. And when I say smart, well, that's something you'll have to see for yourself. I walked right into this dark rift, and for the longest time there was no way out. Until I discovered his one flaw. And that may just happen to be his downfall.
