The two cross each other's path, but their hearts in two different places.

Aslin, the crown princess of Malain and ambassador. Sent away from her home, and it's safety. She must overcome her fear of failing, and, in the process, change the history of two countries.

Ashlyn, the newest palace guard, and the only female. She must try to define her new position, but she is met with the struggle of being the only female guard, and having to work side-by-side with the boy who used to hold her heart.

Ashlyn tries to uncover mysterious attacks on key noblemen. Aslin was sent to change the fate of two countries, and not get herself killed in the process. Their two goals soon intertwine together, and, if they're not careful, fingers might be pointed their way.

Malain sat a days ride away from the Tal border. That, of course, was without breaks and everything going as planned. Aslin Braeburn was uneasy, could she succeed? Could survive in a foreign city?

Ashlyn Grisburn was ready. She was glad to leave her past behind, and keep an eye out for the crown princess. Tal would give her dreams.
