In reality she had to take drastic chances to save the people she loved, even if it means getting hurt in the process. You know what they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. With Tris gone Tobias feels like he's falling apart, especially when they go back to Chicago and the factions are put back into place. Everyone keeps telling him it'll be alright, but with Tris gone how can it be? He feels broken and has to do the only thing he knows how to do: put up walls. If nobody can get in nobody can hurt him again. This is the prequel to Starting Over so if you read it first you won't miss anything but there may be a few spoilers. Beatrice just wants her life to be normal but some people prevent that from happening. Beatrice will learn that life can't be perfect and she has to accept that there will always be problems. Beatrice and Tobias fight the obstacles that come their way together. There is no war just because it would make everything more complicated and I just wanted to write a fanfic with a happy ending to help me forget about the real ending of the trilogy. Enjoy!

The basic plot of Divergent, Tris transferring to Dauntless and her and Four falling in love are still happening, but in different order and with my own twist to it. Like many fanfics, the war doesn't happen in this, but many twists, dangers and people from the past try to stop Fourtris's happiness. This story moves quite fast, in the beginning, but it worked for me when I started this story. I do NOT own Divergent, The great 5(Veronica Roth) does.
