One of her guards, an assassin sent by the King and Queen to bring Mina back to the castle, witnesses Mina transform from a delicate sick girl into a strong woman with magical abilities he can't comprehend. Her desire to bring redemption to the band of assassins protecting her, changes this young man's life forever. 

(This is not a light story. It's a story about the harsh reality of the world. Basically Les Mis with magic and a lot of blood. Anime fans should not be disturbed and enjoy the story very much - the author)
