Once there was a Goddess who loved the mortal realm more than the extravagance of the God's. None of the other beings of great power could understand why she would choose to spend time there instead of indulge in the bountiful exuberance of their world, but they allowed her this, until she brought life with her. A single sapling from the higher realm would sprout into an entire forest overnight, bringing with it energy and gifts. The other Gods were outraged at her continuance to spoil the lesser humans. They cast her from their world but wouldn't allow her the satisfaction of being able to enjoy it in her true form. Upon decent to the mortal plane she fell through a prism, splitting her soul into 7 different pieces. Now, the decedents of the fractured Goddess exhibit strength and cruelty without parallel. They all have one goal in mind... to reconnect all of the pieces and ascend to the heavens. But only one consciousness could possess the body, and the only way to retain control over the other portions of the soul was to eat the heart of the previous owner. ****I've created my own mythology here, it isn't based on anything other than my imagination, but there will be similarities to Greek and Latin myths just because I love that stuff.**** Excerpt: Duncan scrambled off of her as fast as he could. Never before had I seen the man look as freighted as he did now. She stood and started towards him, an awful aura surrounded her and a hush had fallen over the crowd. "Amoenus..." Divus whispered, and a small smile spread across his face. Beautiful... A light that I once thought extinguished, shone again in his eyes. She was going to be trouble.

Persephone has already been kidnapped by Hades, her unwanted and unexpected suitor. Demeter has already cast a famine on all the humans in her grief. Hades struggles to win Persephone over...but perhaps Persephone has always been meant to be with him, and she wasn't an innocent as she was thought she was... Moderate explicit parts. *not finished* "Look, Persephone, you're a reasonable Goddess, more reasonable than most. You have to understand I was not born the Lord of the Underworld. The title was appointed to me because I was the unlucky one. My job is just as important as my brother's jobs. I wasn't selected because of my cruel ways but now because of the way people speak of me and fear me now I am the cruel one whether or not I like it. Do you honesty think it is fair that it should work that way? People take one look at me and assume I'm the devil." Persephone crouches back in her seat. I realize I am standing and seat myself, trying to calm myself. "Do you honestly think that being in charge of the dead and judging them makes me undeserving of love, of a wife? I'm doomed to be exiled down here. I don't even have the sun to keep me warm, Persephone. You're all the sun I have..." *This story is also not meant to be factually accurate, and is simply an interpretation of the story.
