In 2012, Maddison Westbrook lost her older brother Blake to a car accident. The memory of her brother is tainted with the fact that the boy she loved was responsible for the collision. Years later, that boy discovers something that will bring him back to Maddison, and force the pair to confront the demons of their past.
This short story was featured in the Verndale Sun and Browerville Blade newspapers in central MN. (This is the semi-final draft and somewhat improved version.)
