I shoved my phone in my pocket and looked up to see the park in the distance. A little ways ahead on the other side of the street there were boys around my age gathered in a small circle. One grinned as he spotted me and he quickly looked at the other boys and whispered something. I frowned and narrowed my eyes as my nerves began to kick in. A few moments later one of the guys broke away from the crowd and began to walk towards me. I gripped Tank's leash a little tighter as the guy came closer, my heart beating faster by the minute. But to my relief the boy walked passed me, I sighed letting out the breath I had been holding as I watched him pass. The next second I felt something against my butt. I furrowed my brows in confusion as I quickly turned around to see one of the boys trying to pull my wallet out of my pocket. I let Tank's leash go and I quickly slapped him in the face. The boy dodged out of the way and quickly grabbed my hat off my head. I stopped for a split second in confusion as he took off down the street.

Cameron thought she had a good life going for her until a guy named Ian steals her hat. Now she isn't so sure.
