The Stars kingdom was abolished 12 years ago in a war with the Spades over power and magic.

This is the story of Jay, an 18 year old that grew up in the Hearts Kingdom with no such memory of the war. They travel with their friends Nat and Brenda to join the Queen's Army. While on their journey, they find a cabin in the woods where they find Catherine. She is... different, but she knows things Jay does not.
