For Sylvia Turral, everyday life is pretty simple. Wake up, eat breakfast, study, eat lunch, peruse the Internet, eat dinner, and go to bed. It's a simple process that is constantly repeating itself. But for Sylvia, doing the same few things everyday has gotten to the point where she loathes every part of it. That is until one day, when her whole life gets turned upside down. In the midst of a disaster, Sylvia and her brother discover something that changes everything about their lives and their world. Suddenly being thrust into a world she knows very little about, Sylvia has to learn to adapt and blend in, all whilst trying to figure out who or what she is and where she's really from.

When Max's parents go on vacation, he decides to spend the week with his best friend, Lilly, who also happens to be the sister of his long-time straight crush. Spending seven days with Lilly, Jake and his girlfriend during the summer break before college starts can't be that bad, right? 'Imagine falling in love with a straight guy. Well, that's exactly what I did. It's a story as old as time, and I'm trying my best to get over him, but the fact that his sister is my best friend doesn't help, along with his suspiciously odd girlfriend that keeps popping up at inconvenient times. We really are failing at crushing 101- falling for someone you can never have.' CONTENT WARNING: My characters enjoy cursing (thanks, Jake), and this story delves into darker topics such as mental health, issues faced by minority groups, includes violence and more.
