When the Queen family goes through an economic crisis, Artemis is forced to marry a man who she does not know in exchange for the money her family needs.
As Artemis is unaware of how the deal took place, she rejects the man who she marries, but after her failed attempt to run away with her boyfriend, whom her parents are unaware of, she gives in and decides to take her place as the wife of the young man; Wallace 'Wally' R. West.
As time passes, she realizes how Wally is a very intelligent and caring man and soon develops true feelings for him.
On the other hand, Wally had become well attached to Artemis since the beginning of their marriage after he had found out the true reason of why Artemis had accepted the deal, realizing the bad relationship her and her mother had.
Both move forward with their arranged marriage finding love and happiness, but not without some struggles along the way, as Artemis' ex-boyfriend and Wally's childhood friend are both heartbroken and furious.

There was one issue Adreen had with being a part of a team. She would have to look after more people other than herself and Artemis. She would also end up caring for more than one person which she did not want to go through. She had only lived with Artemis and her mother for a few months after an incident Batman found her in. The Dark Knight had Green Arrow take her under his wing given his experience with what she has gone through. Adreen spent most of her days huddled in her twin bed, staring at the wall until she and Artemis were brought into Young Justice. It was not her favorite idea that the archer had but she followed through, becoming a part of something she never believed she would grow accustomed to. | Young Justice | Dick Grayson | Book 1 of 4 | NightShade Series
