It is all just in side your mind, they said. "Is it", she replied.

Sticks and stones cannot break my bones. Play with my mind whilst I will stand back to destroy yours.  As I sat in the chair thinking about how things had come to a stage where my sanity was being challenged by insanity. My reflection off the television reflecting a knackered, beat and lost soul...not how I had considered my adult life would turn out. Face drawn, areas around the eyes so dark with pupils reflecting emptiness within. I pinch myself but feel nothing. Bruises marks and scars covered my silky soft brown sparkling skin but aged to the point of a rotting apple. As the sun beamed it's full rays into my eyes the hate that arises. Is it possible to have such strong feelings when I am neither a resentful or vengeful person. "Destroy them!". That is what the voices in my head are saying. But these voices are neither part of psychosis or schizophrenia. These voices are something far more darker. "Stop!".
