When Star is offered a summer job as her father's assistant, she's a little hesitant to accept it at first. And it's not because she would be missing out on beach parties and shopping sprees her best friend, Margo had so elaborately planned that summer before college, but because her father just so happened to be the manager of one of the biggest pop sensations around.
For Mason McKnight donned Hollywood's 'Knight in shining armor', he sure leaves a lot of damsels in distress. With his questionable morals and wild escapades leading him to the forefront of the latest scandals, Star doubts her ability to ignore her disdain in front of the pop star. But with her father in a lurch, she finds herself being thrust into a world of glitz, glam and something a little more. Her frequent interactions with Mason however, tell more about him each time and it looks like not everything is as it seems.

Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything.
