It was a cold night; the air was thick with smoke and the smell of burning raging fires. Most of the village has been destroyed. People were running with whatever they can carry. Children screaming, mothers crying, and cattle scattered across the fields.

Hundreds of meters away into the sea the island got the brute force of attack. At the learning center, that was famous across the continent, there was total chaos. England had never seen such an attack, nothing like this was ever even conceived as a probability before.

The abbey on Lindisfarne had been completely destroyed; monks were thrown into the sea. Most drowned. The Nordic soldiers were dragging monks and women from the landside to the crafts. They loaded all the church treasures they could carry onto their ships.

As soon as the nightmare started, it ended. When the mist cleared and the sun shone through the smoke twirls, all four magnificent vessels were gone.

They vanished, like they had never been there in the first place.
