Detective Andrew Booth is still recovering from the death of his partner and close friend, Benjamin Culper. When he is renstated as an active duty detective, he finds a missing persons case from his friend's hometown in Cooley. Reverend Jonathan Tolkien, leader of the local church, was reported missing by his wife not long after Ben's death. This seemingly unexpected Case turns into a clash I'm with a town wide conspiracy with seemingly disturbing demonic powers at play.

Alyssan Bogard didn't live a long life. She died when she was 17. All she remembers is waking up in her backyard. She has no memory of her death and only has a vague idea about what happened from what she's heard while lingering around her family and previous school.
