Chapter 1: "Its just the beginning"
The aching in my back didn't stop. A cold hand laid on my shoulder, sending me chills To the bone. I twirled around as I saw Owen. His blue eyes gazing at me as I study him. "let's get moving. We can no longer stay here." His voice deep but smooth and I wonder to myself how he does it. "okay but where?" I said. "Somewhere I'm sure that'll take us somewhere safe." He said so calmly. "Okay." I replied. We walked down many dark hallways, then Zac joined us. Zac's dark brown hair matching his wild green eyes that goes with his favorite green plaid shirt with pale brown shorts. They climbed the ladder that led to another dark tunnel and I followed. A glowing light just ahead of us. My palms go sweaty as we continued walking down the tunnel. There we are at the end of the tunnel. Right when Zac puts his left foot in the gleaming sunlight I screamed, "Stop! Are you sure this is the correct way?" I asked, in a worried voice. "I told you, we don't know but at least its leading us somewhere safe from the outer world." Owen said with a sigh at the end like I've asked too many questions just in one day.

Winnie was now trying to poke the apple to see if it would react to her the same way before nudging it to her friend and watching it heat up a little before Skyler pulled her hand away. "Winnie," she scolded really starting to freak out. "What? It was for science purposes. Multiple trials," Winnie responded. "What the hell is happening to me," Sky asked worried. "Maybe you have super powers," Winnie proposed. "Maybe I'm dying from some weird chemical reaction," Skyler pointed out. "Always so negative. Try to look on the up side sometimes," Winnie teased. "What if I'm dying," Skyler asked worried. "It was nice knowing you," Winnie said jokingly. That wasn't what the girl needed to hear. "Look," Winnie interjected realizing she wasn't helping, "You aren't dying. We can google it and find out what's going on I'm sure there's a reason." Sky nodded quietly. She didn't know what else to do. Something was wrong with her. Something in her said it had to do with that beast they saw.

This could be it. I quickly start to look around the place before the torture starts. Every piece of information I can get stands out to me as my mind connects the pieces. Brianna also seems jumpy as she watches Raphael get up to look at the farthest door where the other passengers came from. Raphael takes a surprised step back as he looks through the small window again. He slowly turns around and his face is pale as he says, "The other part of the subway is gone." "What?!" A tall man says with wide eyes. "No! That's impossible! We just came from there!" The rest of them nervously look around as Ben gets up to look through the window of the conductor's room. Michelle gets up to see what Raphael keeps seeing and Brianna lets out a nervous pant. "There's no conductor." I stand at this and my blood falls to my feet. Frantic looks go around the place and nervous voices fill our ears along with the scrapping sound of the subway. I turn around to look at the other passengers and my eyes catch the red lights from the moving letters on one part of the roof. I gulp and sweat starts down my neck as I read its bright letters. As we reached my hotel room door, Christian pressed me against it, bring his lips to mine again. I pulled away swiping my card to unlock the room door. Suddenly, the elevator opens as Madison walked out with Warren by her side. "I thought you'd be asleep by now" she says to me, thankfully pushing me into the room, breaking the intensity Christian created between us. "Good night Warren, good night Christian." Christian was still gazing at me when the door closed in his face. I quickly ran to open it as Madison jumped on my back causing me to fall to the floor. "What are you doing? get off me!" "Is everything okay in there?" I heard Warren's voice from the door "Fine" Madison called out, pinning me to the floor. Cheerleading is really doing her good. I need to work out more. "Stop being so desperate!" she whispers to me We looked up as the door opened. Mandy stood in the doorway as Liam, Warren, and Christian's confused eyes stared down at us. "Umm, yeah...
