Meet Lesley Parker, an English Literature student who has a rough time with her life, working 2 shifts at Jackie's to Go. She has to keep up with her family, because even if her mother is there, she isn't there. Meet Adam Reindl, a mysterious green-eyed boy who enters the store and turns her life upside down. Two hearts collide, secrets reveal, and hope is what keeps them going. *** Blurp below! As I arrive, I find Adam walking toward me. Before I open my mouth to argue, he holds up a finger, gesturing to me to be quiet. "You're stubborn, naive, and a pain in the ass. But I'm not letting you go on the subway with strangers who smell awfully bad," he says. "You're a stranger, too!" I state out and cross my arms. "What's the difference?" I ask. "Well, first of all, I'm not a stranger. We both know that. And second of all... I smell good," he smirks. "Don't flatter yourself," I mock. "Please Lesley! Just get in the car," he says. And I see defeat filling up his piercing green eyes. I look down as he sighs and runs a hand through his thick black hair. "I'll give you your keys back," he says as he raises his eyebrow, waiting for me to reply. "Fine." I storm by him and slam the car door shut.
