Fighting aliens, being badass, winning the war. That's what most kids growing up want to do on a daily basis because of video games. Kallie Spencer lives in that kind of world, fighting aliens who rained down, taking kids captive, killing adults and it's anything but glamorous. She has to fight to survive, protect her, somewhat idiotic, friends and try to take the revenge of humanity. Fighting aliens and reuniting family is a hard task for a girl just getting out of high school. Not long ago everyone had lives, a job, school, family. But when you're invaded you have to options: lay down and give up, or fight to kick out the invading species. Anyone in the rebellion knows fighting is the only option because fighting gives hope. And everyone needs hope.
