1st BOOK OF THE "FOREVER" SERIES. Tessa is a wishful and overly anxious medical student that hasn't been able to be herself since her best friend Nora died of cancer. However, soon, the crossovers between cancer and immortality begin to haunt her, and she finds herself turning her project into a maddening fight to make sure nobody will ever die again. On the road to immortality, she meets Luke, an apparently careless but fascinating student in her research group, who mysteriously disappears after Tessa's revolutionary project is stolen by a big pharmaceutical enterprise. Tessa finds herself lost and alone in a world where everything is changing because of her, but she can't change anything. She is forced to ask herself questions she never really wanted to find an answer to: Even if we escape death, is escaping time and forgetting still impossible? Are we ruthlessly condemned? The doctors around are trying anything to get that boy out of Nigel his mind, and when they don't succeed, they decide to use electroshock therapy for that. As Nigel threats to lose Alex, the connection between the two fades a lot. Alex has barely enough strength to stay around, and gets forced to find a body before he disappears forever. Strangely enough a patient passes by during Nigel his therapy. A suspicious girl that always wants to know everything that's going around. Since she is the only weak person of them all in a near distance, Alex gets into her body - being forced to share it with another soul. As soon as Nigel realizes that the girl isn't just somebody, and they can't get away from each other, there's only one option left. But what will happen? Will Alex get his body back?
