Kalia's POV : Freedom ain't real. It's just a pretty lie people tell themselves to sleep better at night. Me? I've never been free. Not when I was born into a life where people used me like a tool. Not when I thought I escaped, only to get dragged back in. And sure as hell not now, trapped in a marriage I never wanted with a man who loves me like an addiction-obsessive, toxic, suffocating. Easton swears I belong to him. Calls me his, like I'm a possession, not a person. But I was never meant to be owned. Not by him. Not by anyone. And yet... I'm craving the one person I can't have. The one man I shouldn't want. Jay Kim. My husband's best friend. The only person who looks at me like I'm more than a pawn in someone else's game. The only man who's ever made me feel safe. But love in this world? It don't come without consequences. And choosing Jay? That'd be the kind of mistake that gets people killed. Jay's POV: I never wanted this empire. It was my uncle's before me-a kingdom built on blood, corruption, and greed. But when he fell, I had two choices: take control or let worse men have it. So I took it. And now? I'm doing what he never could. I'm fixing the mess he left behind. Cleaning up the dirt while keeping the wolves from tearing it apart. But then she came back. Kalia Gomez. The only woman who's ever made me want something outside of this life. The one I can't have-because she belongs to someone else. Not just anyone, either. Easton. My friend. My brother in arms. I should walk away. Should forget about the way she looks at me when no one's watching. Should ignore the way my pulse fucking riots every time she's close. But it's too late for that. Because I might be trying to clean up this empire... But for Kalia? I'd burn it all down.

Maddox Price has been implanted with a chip, allowing an ancient deity to control every thought that crosses his mind. Be it unwillingly, he's tasked with protecting someone "special," a smart-mouthed girl deemed the "healer of humanity." Claire Adara was raised in an orphanage, left abandoned after her parents died in a fatal car accident. She'd learned to be sneaky, and that trust is a rare gift that must be earned. When she met Maddox, though, she was drawn to him. Well, not to his attitude, but rather the shimmering gold liquid that ran through his veins. As if controlled solely by a deity and absent of any individual thought, Maddox and Claire must (against their natural instincts) work together to save the world from the natural catastrophe that is the Red Giant. The sun has become 100 times bigger than it once was, and it's scorching the Earth. Claire is the only one who can reverse it. Though, the sun is only one problem on a long list of them. Anarchist group- Chaos- is after her life, simply for the omnipotent power that she possesses. As humanity stands on its last two feet- her two feet- Claire works alongside Maddox in a journey to save both humanity and themselves. 35 parts Ongoing

Tempest has no human bone in her body. She is devoid of all emotions, making her 'job' as a guns-for-hire easy- at least, that's what the heroes call it. She doesn't see it as a job but as a lifestyle. After all, that is all she's ever been surrounded by. Blood, money, drugs, psychos, more blood and money. Blood money. All of that shit. The only problem is that the heroes disagree with her so-called 'lifestyle' and start a special task force in her name called D. O. A. Best known as the operation Dead. Or. Alive. The person specifically tasked to bring her in is none other than the great hero, Phoenix. He is best known for his smarts, good looks, and being a virtuous savior. But among people like Tempest, he is known as another overpowered, overrated hero no one can escape. Not even those blessed with super speed or teleportation can escape him. So, it should be effortless for him to catch her since she has no superhuman abilities. Except it's not. Tempest has a deadly virus no scientist, no government, no god can ever get rid of. So, when she finds out she is being hunted down by not only the hero society but the face of it, she turns to biological warfare. The few other people with the disease would never dare to do something like that, but Tempest would. If it guarantees her coming out on top, she will.
