[ENDGAME SPOILERS FOR A LINK BETWEEN WORLDS]
She was born into the end of the world.
Lorule was torn to shreds when its Triforce was destroyed. Princess Hilda, born into the position of ruling such a sorrowful kingdom, must try to lead her people out of despair with herself having no hope of salvation. She must carry the burden of her ancestors' mistake.
For her entire life, she has been forced to watch her people suffer. So when the potential opportunity to restore Lorule comes knocking on her door, Hilda must take it. Even at the expense of another world.
I do not own The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds or the characters featured in the game.
Original cover art by Pekobukis removed because they deactivated their account so I can't link back to the artwork. It is now Hilda's official art.

The Legend of Zelda: Real Courage [1ST DRAFT]
Ganondorf has a new plan, one that has been decades in the making. If he were to kidnap the Hero of Courage while young, can the hero be used to capture the Princess of Wisdom and complete the Triforce? When he kidnaps the baby, something is wrong. Now looking for art! This is based on the general LoZ plot but doesn't follow any particular game. While I use concepts, bosses, and other elements from the games, what I write will be "non-canon." As for geography, the map in my head is roughly based off of the one found in Twilight Princess. I see this as one of the games, with clean CGI scenes. I strive to describe every detail necessary, but sometimes my descriptions are lacking, or I don't know what to say when. If you ever feel that you are taken out of the story, for poor descriptions or not, please let me know. It has been 100 years since the Great Calamity befell the land of Hyrule, leaving the once prosperous kingdom in ruin. After a century of slumber, Link wakes up alone with no memory of who he is. The voice of the long lost Princess Zelda calls to him, telling him to save her kingdom. With nothing but his courage and his name, he takes on the responsibility to put it back on track. But as his memories begin to creep to the surface, he soon finds not all is as simple as he once thought. Will he be able to cut himself off from his feelings to complete his quest? Or will he be swallowed by them, as every new memory unlocks another secret buried in his heart? A novelization of BOTW's story. Written in Blood . {After OoT/MM fic} Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves. > < .
