"When I say jump, jump. Alright?" He said, staring at me with his gorgeous blue eyes. I shyly nodded my head, worried for the fall below.

Water pushed against the edge of the cliff. "Anna, you need to trust me. We will be okay." He said. And as he said it, everything in that instant, was alright.

"Raiden." I said as he looked down at the water below. "They are getting closer. We have to jump now or never." He said. And for the first time, I knew he was afraid. All those times he was being brave it allowed him to actually know what fear was like. And this was it; he was scared. But he wasn't scared of being captured, or dying. He was scared of losing me. And I was scared of losing him.

"One." He looked at me. Fear filled his eyes. He grabbed my pale hand. "Two." I said. He clenched his jaw and looked behind us. They were getting closer. "Three." I trembled.

I held on to his hand for dear life and jumped with him following shortly behind.

Raiden and Anna are naive and youthful. Pushing 20, they had known each other since the 2nd grade. They are now half way through their undergraduate degrees and secretly have loved each other for the past 14 years but not a word has been shared.

After a hostage situation at the local bank, Anna and Raiden are approached by the government to work on some questionable cases.

What would the government want with a pre-veterinary student and a pre-law student?
