Do you ever doubt yourself? Ever get the feeling you're never good enough? For me, that's my life. That's how I feel. Every. Single. Day. So let's complicate it a little more shall we? This is My Life
I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! My real life experience with fiction added :) Returning from my six year hiatus with a new book....my bad.Complete

"My life is not simple, it never has been and never will be, Lucy. All I do is put the ones I love in danger." He turned to me with his beautiful ocean eyes, sadness spread on his face. I ran towards him and engulfed his face into my hands staring deeply into his eyes. "I know what I've gotten myself into, and I accept everything that is to come full-heartedly. Wherever you go, I go, whatever you need I'll help you, whatever is to happen then it happens. I can do this, we can do this, because I love you, Harry, I do." Have you ever felt so lonely you believed there was nothing left for you? Stashed away, merely forgotten. I mean you could cry and cry, yet no one would hear you. At least no one you truly once loved. Being yourself can be detrimental to others happiness, and so you down play who you are. You devalue your beliefs, your morals fall short and that hollow rock turns into your Mirror. Do you matter anymore? Would anyone care if you simply disappeared? Could you find your way out of the darkness? Look Closer is one of my favourite quotes and so I'll use it as a guide to understanding the complex characters you're about to meet.Complete
